Always look to work with people who are willing to take some risk in life, who are happy with change and who are looking to create something bigger than themselves. I\u2019ll give you an example of a positive risk-taker that I\u2019ve come across in my life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My friend from my local sports club calls me one day and says: <\/span>\u201cDo you shop on Amazon? What products do you buy?\u201d\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I said: <\/span><\/i>\u201cWhy are you asking this question?\u201d<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: <\/span>“I’m looking to start something and want to sell products on Amazon\u201d<\/i><\/b>.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the time when he called, it was COVID-19 and we had young kids.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So I said: <\/span>\u201cMy wife tends to buy kids products from Amazon all the time.\u201d<\/i><\/b>, and that was the end of that conversation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One day, he calls me again, but this time for a general catch-up.\u00a0<\/span>In between our conversations, I said: <\/span>\u201cOh by the way, what happened with that Amazon venture you were thinking of starting?\u201d<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: <\/span>\u201cWe\u2019ve started already, I\u2019ve registered a company and I\u2019ve also ordered products from China. The container is on its way and will arrive in 3 months. However, I\u2019m still looking for a warehouse, but I\u2019ll try and get that sorted out too, hopefully in time as I\u2019m speaking to a few warehouse owners about lease at the moment.\u201d<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This was amazing. He had started his business, and yet there was no preparation. <\/span>The key is to start. <\/span><\/p>\n

Problems will eventually get solved in time. By the time the container had arrived, a lease for the warehouse had already been signed and his team was ready to receive the container at the warehouse.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wow! Company registered, products ordered already and were on their way to the UK. This attitude of starting is what is always needed to move ahead. If you\u2019re always stuck in numbers, calculations, spreadsheets and research; nothing will ever happen in life, and the tuition business is no different.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So what had he done so far?<\/b> He didn\u2019t have a business plan. His market research was calling a few friends to find out what they would buy from Amazon, and that\u2019s it. Sometimes you just have to go for it. I did the same with my tuition business and made it work. I didn\u2019t have any research to tell me what I should do or shouldn’t do. I just went for it and got started, and that\u2019s the most important part.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I love this quote. I think we can all use it for inspiration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is always an element of risk in business. Had that not been the case, everyone would be doing it and moving away from the safety and comfort of jobs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a risk in living life too. Does that mean we stop living? Does that mean we don\u2019t step outside our place? NO.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The best thing is to have business partners and people who are willing to try something new, who are willing to step out of their comfort zone and want to develop a business and grow it for the future with you.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
